Our bourbon distillery is just south of Louisville, making it an easy stop for visitors exploring bourbon country, Bardstown and other Kentucky bourbon destinations. Parking is available on-site for guests. Check your route before you leave and give yourself time to arrive before your scheduled tour.

Opening times, restaurant hours and tour availability may vary by season, holiday schedule and experience. Bourbon excursions are not offered on select holidays, including Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Production areas may also be affected during annual maintenance, though tours, The Kitchen Table and the American Outpost may still be available.

The James B. Beam Distilling Co. is located at 568 Happy Hollow Road, Clermont, KY 40110, about 30 minutes south of Louisville. The campus is home to bourbon distillery tours, tastings, The Kitchen Table restaurant and the American Outpost gift shop.
Yes. Guests can visit select areas of the James B. Beam Distilling Co. campus without a tour reservation, including the gift shop, restaurant and outdoor spaces. Bourbon excursions and tastings can sell out, especially on weekends and during peak travel seasons, so booking ahead is the best way to secure your preferred time.
Yes. Guests under 21 may join select Jim Beam distillery tours, including the Beam Made Bourbon Distillery Tour, but they cannot participate in tastings or enter the tasting room at the end of the experience. Tasting experiences are reserved for guests 21+ with valid ID. Review the details of your selected experience before booking with minors.
Yes. The James B. Beam Distilling Co. grounds and tours are ADA-compliant. Guests with specific mobility, stroller or accessibility questions are encouraged to contact the visitor experience team before booking.

The Beam Made Bourbon experience is the main bourbon distillery tour and tasting. Guests can learn how Beam bourbon is made, explore the distillery story and finish with a guided tasting at the American Outpost.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Bourbon excursions depart promptly, and guests need time to park and check in. Guests may not be able to join a tour that has already started.
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Closed-toe shoes are recommended because this is a working distillery. Tours may include outdoor areas, walking and stairs, so dress for the weather and the experience.
Yes. The American Outpost gift shop is open to guests visiting the campus, even without a tour reservation. Visitors can shop for Beam merchandise, apparel, glassware, barware, bourbon gifts, select bottles and distillery items. Personalized bottle engraving and custom gifting options may also be available on select products, depending on inventory and season. Some branded merchandise may also be available online through Shop Beam Distilling, while the on-campus American Outpost may carry exclusive or seasonal items.
