We welcome all bourbon fans aged 21 and over to a new Jim Beam® visitor attraction. The Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse visitor center delivers the Jim Beam® distillery experience in the heart of Louisville. It includes a small working distillery, a bottling line, a tasting experience, a unique bottle your own bourbon experience with bourbon selected for the Urban Stillhouse and merchandise for sale.

JIM BEAM® Distillery Tour (Including Tasting)

Secrets are for strangers; here at the Jim Beam® American Stillhouse, you’re family. So get an up close and intimate look at Jim Beam® Bourbon and how it’s made. Guided tours will take you through the entire process, starting with our natural limestone water well and all the way through the mashing, distilling, barreling, aging, and bottling. 

$12 adults (21+) | FREE under 21 | 90 minutes


  • Tours are Monday-Saturday every half hour from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. EST, except 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. EST; Sunday 12:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. EST.
  • Gift shop hours are Monday-Saturday 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. EST; Sunday 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. EST.
  • Jim Beam American Stillhouse is located in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
  • Please check in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour to guarantee your place.
  • Reservations must be made at least two days prior to the desired date of visit.
  • Refunds are issued up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled tour time.
  • The Jim Beam® American Stillhouse will be CLOSED (gift shop and tours) on Tuesday, June 7th.

A Taste of History- Clermont, KY

Jim Beam offers an educational bourbon experience to take visitors on a step-by-step journey through the compenents of bourbon, including how to nose, taste and recognize the unique flavors of Beam bourbon.  Of course, a Beam tasting wouldn't be complete without learning Booker's signature Kentucky Chew!

Jim Beam has a full family of bourbons, each unique and expertly made by the Beam family, who has perfected the art of bourbon making over the last 200 years.  

Discover how to expertly craft a cocktail in the historic T. Jeremiah Beam Home.  You'll dive deeper into the art of cocktail making and take away something special to remember your time in Clermont, KY. 

You'll want to raise a glass of your favorite Beam spirit as we celebrate the splendor of this great whiskey on National Bourbon Day Tuesday, June 14th!

June 17- Jim Beam Bourbon Beefsteak Bash

This evening affair is one you’ll never forget. 

Join Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe at the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse in downtown Louisville for an old fashioned beefsteak dinner, where utensils and napkins are nowhere to be found. Put your manners aside and dig in to this cheeky family-style dinner!  We’ll provide a hat and apron and ask that you roll up your sleeves to dig in.  

Of course, this indulgent event would not be complete without the finest Jim Beam libations in tow. Fill your very own bottle of our unique non-chill filtered Urban Stillhouse Select, currently only sold at the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse.

Right next to the Jim Beam American Stillhouse, the Smokehouse is a counter-service café overlooking the rolling foothills of Kentucky and our historic Jim Beam Distillery. 

Inspired by our own bold Bourbon flavors, the Smokehouse menu includes a good mix of Kentucky favorites with a modern take on things, including Devil’s Cut™ Pulled Pork BBQ, Aunt Mimi’s mouthwatering bourbon baked beans, a signature homemade Jim Beam® burgoo and delectable desserts.  

It’s just one more reason to come visit.

Just off I-65 and only 30 minutes from Louisville, our Kentucky distillery is nestled in the rolling foothills of Clermont at 526 Happy Hollow Road. From Louisville: Take I-65 south. Take Exit 112 (KY 245) and turn left. Drive 1.8 miles, and turn left at the Jim Beam sign. From Lexington: Drive west on Bluegrass Parkway. Take Exit 25 (US 150). Drive toward Bardstown and turn right onto KY 245. Drive 13.5 miles, and then turn right at the Jim Beam sign.
